Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrades

Your vehicle may have been built before Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were standard — but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck. We install aftermarket head units and OEM-style integration solutions that bring full CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to a wide range of vehicles, often with a factory-fit finish that looks like it came that way from the dealership.

OEM Integration & Vehicle-Specific Solutions

Modern vehicles are complicated. Factory amplifiers, can-bus systems, steering wheel controls, backup camera inputs, and proprietary wiring harnesses all have to be accounted for during any electronics install. Factory Amplifier Integration

DSP Tuning & Sound Quality Optimization

Equipment is only half the equation. A digital signal processor (DSP) allows us to precisely tune your audio system to your specific vehicle’s acoustics — correcting for speaker placement, cabin reflections, and factory signal processing that can muddy the sound even in a quality install.

Sound Deadening & Acoustic Treatment

Road noise, rattles, and thin door panels are the enemy of good car audio. Sound deadening material applied to doors, floors, and trunk areas reduces unwanted vibration, lowers road noise, and gives your speakers a proper acoustic environment to perform in.

We incorporate sound deadening into builds where it makes sense and offer it as a standalone service for customers who want a quieter, better-sounding cabin regardless of whether they’re upgrading their audio.

Custom Fabrication & Amp Racks

Sometimes off-the-shelf just doesn’t cut it. We design and build custom subwoofer enclosures, amplifier racks, and dash or console modifications for customers who want a build that fits their vehicle perfectly — not a generic solution shoved into a space it wasn’t made for.

Custom fabrication is where craftsmanship really shows. We’ve built ported boxes, sealed enclosures, flush-mounted amp racks, and full custom installs that look like they were designed for the vehicle from day one.

Remote Start & Vehicle Security

Start your vehicle from inside the house on a cold Idaho morning. Our remote start systems are professionally installed and integrated with your vehicle’s factory systems for reliable operation season after season. We carry quality products from brands we trust, and we install them the right way.

Vehicle security systems are available as standalone installs or paired with remote start for a complete protection and convenience package. We’ll walk you through your options and help you find the right fit for your vehicle and your budget.

Ignition Interlock Installation, Calibration & Monitoring

Walker Audio Design is a certified ignition interlock device (IID) installer serving drivers in Nampa, Boise, Caldwell, and throughout the Treasure Valley. If you’ve been required to install an interlock device in Idaho, we’re here to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Our ignition interlock services include:

• Installation — Professional installation by a certified technician, compliant with Idaho Transportation Department requirements
• Calibration — Scheduled recalibration visits to keep your device in compliance with program requirements
• Service — Ongoing service and support for any device issues that arise during your program
• Monitoring — Assistance with the monitoring and reporting requirements associated with your interlock program via our partnership with Intoxalock

Dash Cameras & Driver Safety Systems

Dash cameras are one of the smartest investments a driver can make. We install front and rear dash cam systems with clean, permanent wiring runs that eliminate dangling cables and look factory-finished. Whether you want a basic single-channel system or a full multi-camera setup with parking mode, we’ll find the right option for your needs.

Driver safety systems including lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision sensors are also available for compatible vehicles.

Backup Cameras & Parking Safety

Backup cameras improve safety every single day. We install aftermarket backup camera systems for vehicles that didn’t come with one from the factory, as well as upgraded cameras for vehicles where the OEM image quality isn’t cutting it. We install weatherproof speakers, amplifiers, and Bluetooth audio solutions for touring bikes, baggers, and custom builds. Every motorcycle install is done with vibration, weather exposure, and the unique electrical constraints of two-wheel platforms in mind.

UTV & Powersport Audio

Side-by-sides and UTVs demand a different approach to audio installation — one that accounts for vibration, weather exposure, dust, water crossings, and the serious electrical demands of trail riding. We build UTV audio systems for Polaris RZR, Can-Am Maverick, Yamaha YXZ, Honda Pioneer, and more.

If you’re riding Idaho trails, you need a system built for Idaho conditions. We use weatherproof and marine-grade components, solid mounting hardware, and sealed wiring connections that hold up ride after ride.

Troubleshooting & Electrical Diagnostics

Something not working right? Intermittent electrical gremlins, a system that stopped functioning, or a previous install that wasn’t done properly — we diagnose and fix 12-volt electrical problems of all kinds. Our team has seen just about everything, and we approach troubleshooting the same way we approach every job: methodically and with respect for your vehicle.

If you bought a vehicle with existing aftermarket electronics that are causing issues, or if something in your current system has stopped performing, bring it in and we’ll figure out what’s going on.
