One of the things we love most about what we do is that no two days are ever alike, and we enjoy being able to offer a variety of helpful services to all of our customers.
Today was a perfect example of the variety of vehicles, services, and challenges that come through our doors every day at Walker Audio Design in Nampa, Idaho.
We started the day with a Sony XAV-AX4000 radio replacement in a 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty, giving the customer modern smartphone connectivity, improved audio performance, and a much-needed technology upgrade.
We also performed a diagnostic appointment on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma experiencing TPMS warning light issues. Diagnostic appointments are one of the most valuable services we offer because they allow us to identify the root cause of a problem before unnecessary parts are replaced.
A brand-new 2026 Honda Civic came in for SiriusXM integration using a VAIS module and tuner, allowing the owner to enjoy satellite radio while maintaining factory integration and functionality.
On the compliance side of our business, we completed an Intoxalock ignition interlock installation in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra.
Another customer brought us a 2012 Volkswagen experiencing audio feedback issues. After testing and evaluation, we determined the factory head unit was the likely source of the problem and discussed replacement options moving forward.
One of the highlights of the day was completing a full Diamond Audio motorcycle audio upgrade on a 2024 Harley-Davidson Street Glide. The system included a complete front stage and rear cut-in package designed to provide exceptional clarity, output, and performance even at highway speeds.
We also completed a thorough audio diagnostic on a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette that had completely lost audio output. During testing, we discovered a failed JL Audio amplifier with blown fuses, non-functioning front speakers, and a blown rear speaker. The customer elected to move forward with replacing the failed equipment, and we’re excited to help bring the system back to life.
